Spain
Asturias
On the 23rd of April I had decided to go over to a Spanish family that I knew very well for a month. The two reasons I decided to do this was to improve my Spanish and to do work experience over in Spain.
For the first week I was there it was mid-term so I didn't have school. I spent that week exploring Madrid and getting to know everyone.
For the second week of Spain we travelled to the north of Spain to a place called Asturias. It was a very beautiful place which took a five hour drive but was definitely worth it.

Work Experience and School
aaAfter we had got back from Asturias it was time for my first day of school in Spain . I woke up got dressed had breakfast and we were off to school. The first day was just for me to meet the principal and see the school . It was a small school with only about 200 students. After I was shown the school by the principal , she had decided that I would stay in the same class as my student. All of his classmates were very nice and all had very good English if I didn't understand something.
As I am not fluent in Spainsh going to class was not the objective of going to school it was for work experience. The man that I was doing work experience with was also Irish his name was Stephen. Stephen is a P.E. teacher and English teacher in the school. On a normal day I would do things such as helping Stephen with P.E. classes and going to his English classes.
From doing this work experience I got to see his point of view of many different things such as working in a Spain , teaching P.E. , teaching English to Spanish people and many other things.

My thoughts on this trip
Out of all the things I have done in Transition Year this was definitely the best . I experienced and learned more then I ever thought I would have . I hope to go there again and I really just found this a very good and fun experience.
